Sofa beds have developed a bad reputation over the years for being uncomfortable to sleep on. This is because most sofa beds are sold with a thin foam mattress or a thin innerspring mattress.

At Sofa Studio, we offer 3 different innerspring mattress options. We have also manufactured our own mattress range in Sydney which give comfort comparable to a real bed.
Standard 6" Innerspring Mattress
This mattress is standard with all our 6" innerspring sofa bed designs and included in all our sofa bed prices.
It features a spring unit constructed with heat tempered steel. The spring are 4 1/4" thick and provide excellent support and flexing capability. A synthetic bonded fibre insulator pad is wrapped around the edges of the spring unit followed by an upper layer of damask quilting.
Latex 6" Innerspring Mattress
Features our standard high tensile steel foldable spring unit which we then wrap with a bonded fibre insulator pad. The next layer features a thick, breathable latex sheet for the ultimate in support and longevity. The final layer of quilting is lace tufted with premium quilting fabric to ensure durabilty and ease of folding.
Our Latex mattress is unique in the marketplace and has helped to re-define people's expectations of sofa bed comfort.
Indulgence 6" Innerspring Mattress
Custom made in Sydney according to our own specifications.
The Indulgence mattress features luxurious & soft multi-needle quilted layers of foam and fibre over a high tensile steel innerspring base. The quilting is lace tufted to ensure that it will fold in the mechanism without creasing. This mattress provides a supportive luxurious feel similar in look and feel to a real bed.
